Paleo: Sting, all elegance...
The pop star performed the greatest hits of his career. Sublime.
He was there, sober, holding his bass guitar that has travelled thousands of kilometres. A simple white T-shirt over his shoulders, but endless elegance.
Gordon Sumner, aka Sting, sailed through his past hits. Those he performed solo for 25 years, as well as those of the legendary The Police. 'Roxanne', 'Message in the Bottle', 'Fields of Gold', and 'Every Breath You Take' have captivated—and will undoubtedly continue to captivate—festival-goers captivated by the sixty-year-old's charisma.
Sting has a unique and unchanged voice. Thursday night, he alternated between ballads and committed rhythms. With such generosity, the musicians around him shine: violinist Peter Tickell is simply prodigious.
The star has lost none of his honesty. And time stood still, for the duration of a concert on the Asse plain.
